So I’ve been really, really busy these last few weeks. From being in Paris for work, to painting and getting more commission pieces, it feels like I’ve been moving at 100mph. Not to say that’s a bad thing, I’ve been feeling incredibly creative this month and it has been paying off. I’ve currently got three painting commission to work on and I secured my first commission from Etsy this evening. I’m really looking forward to working on it.
The piece I am currently working on is an album cover for a friend’s band. I’m painting the image on canvas, then photographing it to print. You can see a WIP picture below. Apologies for the crappy lighting, it was still wet and reflective, and I was keen to get some sleep after painting all evening. Please remember this is incredibly unfinished.
The rest of my time this month has been spent working or hanging out with some awesome people. The lovely
Chloé came to visit me this weekend for wine, Left 4 Dead and chilling. I taught her why Portal is amazing and we got incredibly drunk while getting eaten by shooting zombies. Look at how cool we are! The awesomeness of Friday night was followed by my mate Mark’s birthday party which was 24 themed. His cake was the best cake ever! It was a bomb, and before cutting it he had to snip the wires and defuse the bomb. Nia, the cake’s creator, is a legend. As there was a theme I decided to dress up. By dressing up I mean I just put a wig on.
It made me remember how much I love wearing wigs. With one item of clothing you can completely change you’re look. I can now say that I couldn’t deal with having long hair permanently, but it was fun to be ridiculously girly for an evening.
Other than the above, there isn’t a lot to report on. Work has been dominating my time as of late and gaming has taken a bit of a back seat.There will hopefully be another painting update in the next few days.
